1. What Is a 21700 Battery Pack?

A 21700 battery pack consists of 21700 lithium-ion cells, which are cylindrical cells named after their dimensions: 21 mm in diameter and 70 mm in height.
These packs have a higher capacity and higher discharge rate than other cells and are therefore commonly used in high-drain devices.
The advantages of 21700 batteries include higher capacity and energy density. As a result, the 21700 battery has a greater range and longer life.
In addition, these batteries have a low self-discharge rate, which helps to maintain stable power levels over extended periods. Overall, 21700 batteries provide a more efficient power solution for high-power applications.
Lithium battery packs 21700 are used in a wide range of high-performance products due to their high capacity and long-lasting characteristics.
These include electric vehicles, power tools, and high-power flashlights, which require long-lasting and powerful power for efficiency and performance. In addition, 21700 batteries are widely used in portable power supplies, e-bikes, drones, and other devices.
The charging and discharging characteristics of 21700 batteries are relatively stable, and their long cycle life can exceed 1000 times.
However, improper use may shorten the battery packs' life, such as overcharging and over-discharging. Additionally, using them in high or low-temperature environments will affect the 21700 battery pack's lifespan.
To properly store the lithium battery pack 21700, maintain them at 20°C for prolonged periods. Ensure they hold a 50% to 60% charge, with periodic recharging every three months and full cycles every six months.
In addition, keep them away from high temperatures, moisture, and physical stress to prevent damage. Besides, avoid storing batteries near strong magnetic fields or static electricity to protect their safety features.
21700 battery packs can be carried on aircraft within specific guidelines: they must be in carry-on luggage, not checked. Batteries under 100Wh are allowed directly, while those between 100Wh and 160Wh require pre-approval from the airline.

Notably, a maximum of two spare batteries is permitted, and they must be protected against short circuits. Additionally, the batteries must not be damaged or deformed. Always check with the airline for specific regulations before flying.
