Installation Guide
Before replacing the battery, prepare your tools. The process is straightforward; you only need a Phillips screwdriver and a pair of scissors or flat-nose pliers to complete the installation. Once your tools and new battery are ready, let's begin:
Power Off: First, ensure the e-scooter's power lock is in the OFF position.
Remove the Cover: Unscrew all the bolts along the edge of the battery compartment cover. Once the screws are removed, the cover will pop up slightly, allowing you to easily lift it off the scooter frame.
Disconnect the Old Battery: Carefully unplug the connection terminals of the old battery one by one, then slide the old battery out of the compartment.
Install the New Battery: Place the new Caroma e-scooter battery into the compartment. Slide the provided heat-shrink tubing onto the cables.
Connect the Terminals: Connect the charging/discharging connectors and the white power switch connector in sequence.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: When connecting the charging port, double-check that the positive and negative poles match perfectly. Reversing the polarity will cause the protection board (BMS) to lock and enter "sleep mode."
Secure and Seal: Slide the heat-shrink tubing over the connected terminals and use a heat gun to shrink it. This provides a secure, protective seal.
Final Test: Once installed, turn on the power switch to test that the scooter powers up correctly before reattaching the compartment cover.
