How to Revive Your Hayward AquaPod 2.0 in 5 Easy Steps

Step 1: Open the Housing

Use the Special Torx Screwdriver included in your kit to remove the 6 security screws on the back of the remote. Gently separate the front and back covers.

Note: Be careful not to pull the internal wires too hard when opening.

Step 2: Remove the Old Battery & Foam

  • Disconnect: Gently unplug the white battery connector from the female receptacle on the circuit board.

  • Clear the Residue: The factory battery is held down by strong adhesive. Use the Adhesive Remover Tool from your kit to safely pry up the old battery and scrape away any leftover foam residue without damaging the casing.

Step 3: Moisture Protection Upgrade (Crucial Step!)

  • Out with the Old: Remove the old, expired desiccant bag.

  • In with the New: Peel the backing off the New Replacement Desiccant Pouch and stick it inside the housing. This protects the sensitive chipboard from humidity and corrosion—a vital step often missed by others!

Step 4: Install the New 1200mAh Battery

  • Apply Tape: Attach a strip of the included 3M Double-Sided Foam Tape to the back of your new battery.

  • Plug It In: Connect the battery to the receptacle. It is keyed to fit only one way—do not force it.

  • Secure: Press the battery firmly into place, ensuring the wires are tucked away and won't be pinched when closing the case.

Step 5: Reassemble & Re-activate

  • Seal It Up: Align the covers and tighten the 6 Torx screws.

  • The "Wake-Up" Call: IMPORTANT! The remote may not turn on immediately after the swap. Place the unit into the Charging Cradle to initiate the system and "wake up" the new battery.

  • Full Charge: We recommend charging the remote for 4–6 hours before its first full use to calibrate the battery meter.

DOA (dead on arrival) Return Policy:

  • If your battery arrives damaged or is not working, you can return it to us within 7 days after delivery or 30 days after shipment in case the delivery date is not traceable. You will receive an e-mail containing the shipment date and other details of your order after it has been shipped.
  • Please include all of its accessories, like cables, chargers, batteries, in the returned parcel. If an accessory or component is missing, we will ask you to pay for it. All the return shipping fees will be covered by us.

Defective item Return Policy:

  • We will do our best to ensure that the products shipped to our customers are in their best condition. If your product turns out to be defective, please provide us with the following proofs:
  • This clause does not include products of a category with specific warranty terms as well as damages caused by incorrect usage of a product.
  • Photos of the front and the back of the package or box;
  • Partial shipment slips (if applicable);
  • Photo or video of the defective item;
  • Photo or video and a detailed description of the problem;
  • Upon being returned, the defective item will be refunded or replaced for free.

Incorrect item received:

  • Because different batches of the products are supplied, the item logo or packaging you received may vary from the one displayed on our website. If all the functions and appearance of the product prove to be correct, please understand that this case will not be included in this policy. If a return is necessary, replacement plus shipping cost reimbursement will be issued to you once you send us a return shipping receipt showing how much you paid to return it. Please be sure that the incorrect item you return is in the original package and the merchandise is in the same condition you received it in. For the incorrect item, if you are able to find a use of it and prefer to keep it, you may suggest that to us and we will offer you a certain discount for buying it.

Unsatisfactory products:

  • If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return a product within 30 days after delivery to receive a replacement or a refund of its price minus the shipping fees. If the return is not a result of our error, customers will be required to cover shipping cost both ways.
  • Please ensure to return the item with its original packaging and accessories in the same condition as when you received it.

If the products malfunctions (except for reasons caused by incorrect usage and accidental or intentional damage) within 90 days after shipment, you can return the product back to us. You should receive an e-mail with the shipment date and other details after your order has been shipped. Once we receive and approve the return,a full refund or replacement will be offered and a shipping cost reimbursement will be issued when you provide us with a receipt of the shipping charges you paid to send it back to us (the tracking number of the return package or a screenshot of the shipping receipt).
The return shipping fee should be less than 30% of the defective item(s) value, and also less than $30(USD). We will cover the actual postage (according to the receipt you provided). If the return shipping fee exceeds the limit above, please contact our customer service for further confirmation.

After receiving the defective item, we will forward it to our repair center. You will be charged the return shipping fees And Batteryint will charged the send-back shipping fee.

After 180 days from shipment
Batteries are consumables ,We will not accept a refund or a replacement after 180 days from shipment.

How can I return the defective item to Batteryint?
All customers should contact Batteryint Customer Service for approval before sending anything to us before returning any item(contact:sales@batteryint.com) . Batteryint will not be responsible for returned item(s) without notifying us in advance.

Notes:

  • The returned products must be in a new and resolvable condition with original packaging, including cartons, parts, instruction manuals, etc.
  • The buyer is responsible for the return postage, we will bear all the costs of sending replacement. For the sake of protection, we strongly recommend the buyer to insure the returned goods against loss or damage, and use a shipper who can provide proof of delivery.
  • Any return must consult us first, do not accept return without RMA (provided by our customer service).
